Playing guide

Launch with a clear plan

Brickstorm is a browser brick breaker with 50 increasingly large walls. Pick a level, then click, tap or press Space to launch. Move the paddle with a mouse, touch, A and D, or the arrow keys. Early levels are compact enough to learn the ball path; later walls grow from 200 toward 10,000 logical bricks, so keeping the ball alive matters more than rushing one small opening.

Catch the powers that solve the wall in front of you

Power-ups fall toward the paddle after useful hits. Multiball helps cover a wide wall, while a wider paddle, shield or slow motion can make a busy screen easier to manage. Other powers change how the ball damages bricks, so wait to see the current wall rather than assuming one pickup is always best. Powers that stay active are tied to the life in progress, while instant effects happen immediately.

Use every tenth wall as a boss-style checkpoint

The game groups its 50 levels into five themed runs, with a larger boss wall at the end of each ten-level stretch. Base levels start with five lives, plus any life upgrades you have earned. Keep a safe return path to the paddle, use a caught ball to relaunch deliberately when Sticky Paddle is active, and pause when you need to step away. Clearing a wall is the goal; a high score is a bonus, not a reason to throw away the last ball.

Common questions

How do I control the paddle?
Use your mouse or touch on the play area, A and D, or the left and right arrow keys. Click, tap or press Space to launch a waiting ball.
How do I aim the ball in Brickstorm?
Where the ball lands on your paddle changes its rebound. A hit near the middle returns more upright; a hit toward the left or right edge sends it farther sideways in that direction. Move into position before contact to reach a gap in the wall, but keep enough paddle under the ball to make the return.
How many levels are there?
Brickstorm has 50 authored levels. They become larger and faster as you go, and every tenth level is a larger boss-style wall.
Do I need an account to play?
No. Brickstorm runs in the browser without an account or download.
